I make illustrations, educate and write about the Earth.
A human touch
Why should we use art in science when a photo could do the job?
Illustration can often bring a breath of fresh air and truly engage people with scientific knowledge. It transcends jargon and adds a human element to research that can often feel detached from the “real world”. Where a photo captures everything, a scientific illustration can focus directly on the most important parts of the story.
Let’s work together!
My brain is like a funnel. Thanks to my background in both science and education, I know how to take complex concepts and translate them into engaging content for various audiences. I love working with other scientists, artists, organisations and brands on projects that explore the natural world in unique ways, as well as our relationship with it. While my specialisation is in rocks, I can work on any topic broadly related to the Earth and environment.
I am available for commissions, collaborations, science communication and educational engagement projects (such as workshops, talks and live painting). I’d also love to create long-term collaborations and partnerships with people who are as excited about nature as I am and want to share it with the world!
