Al2SiO5 polymorphs geological diagram
£3.50
Polymorphs are minerals that have the same chemical composition but exist in multiple crystal forms which form under different conditions - they are like siblings with very different hobbies. Kyanite, andalusite and sillimanite share the same chemical structure (Al2SiO5) but their crystal systems are triclinic (kyanite), orthorhombic (andalusite and sillimanite).
