QAPF / Streckeisen geological diagram
£3.50
Arguably one of the prettiest diagrams in geology, QAPF (or Streckeisen, as it’s sometimes called) is used to classify the mineralogical composition of plutonic igneous rocks. What does QAPF mean, I hear you ask? It stands for quartz, alkali feldspar, plagioclase feldspar and feldspathoid - the four main mineral groups present in intrusive rocks.
