TAS geological diagram

£3.50

The total alkali-silica (aka TAS) is a diagram that shows the composition of different extrusive igneous rocks. Based on how much Na2O and K2O (total alkali) the rocks have, we can classify them into alkaline, transitional and subalkaline. Their SiO2 (silica) content then decides if they are ultramafic, mafic, intermediate or felsic.

A6 print of an original watercolour illustration printed on paper made in Hull from 100% recycled post-consumer waste fibre.
